Duncan's Pincushion Cactus
Duncans Pincushion Cactus (Coryphantha duncanii: Cactaceae) These little gems only stand 2.5-6 cm (1.0-2.4 in) tall. Flowers not opening very wide,1.3-1.9 cm (0.51-0.75 in) wide. This genus is represented by 17 species in Texas. Photographed on limestone hills of Mariscal Mountain in Big Bend National Park, Brewster County, Texas, USA. Chihuahuan Desert at ca. 1,067 m (3,500 ft) elevation.
