Dusky-backed jacamar

Dusky-backed jacamar (Brachygalba salmoni)

Shot in the Darien region of Panama, Comarca Embera Wounaan Area NO. 1. It was hard to find. I actually crossed a homemade river ferry, then took a canoe down river. As far as I know there are only a few pairs of this Jacamar in Panama.
