Dusky Nightjar C-RICA SER 2
This species is endemic to the mountains of Costa Rica and western Panama. In the evening after dark, it took us a while to find one of these birds. Unfortunately, it was perched on utility wires near a street light, perhaps because the light attracted food (flying insects). I would have preferred to photograph the bird in a more natural setting. Darkness necessitated the use of flash.
