Thanks. The Nikon Coolpix P-610 has 60x zoom. It's a nice, cheap digi. I was sitting in my car on the side of the road and the bird was about 30-50 feet away on the fence (Maybe more, I can't remember which side of the road I was on...LOL). Unlike many Meadowlarks, this one sat there and posed until I got the right focus. Normally they fly away as soon as you stop. This one waited for me to do a U-turn and come back...
