Eastern Osprey has the last laugh.

Eastern Osprey has the last laugh. (Pandion cristatus; Pandion haliaetus)

While on the tour of the Noosa River and lakes, our guide asked us to watch out for interesting birds. When this Eastern Osprey flew just metres above our heads before landing just above us, I quickly let him know. For those of you who have travelled on this river, you will be aware just how shallow it can be in places, like where we found this beauty, the only one we saw on the trip. I am certain this Osprey had great joy, sitting above us as we spent the next 15 minutes getting the boat off the bottom.
