Eastern whip-poor-will
One of the better camouflaged birds, or animals in general, and so still and quiet for much of the day making them almost impossible to find. This one was quite visible from the path, and just 10 feet away, yet dozens of people walked right by without noticing. Even when I tried to point it out, some had great difficulty spotting it! Also, one of my favorite scientifically named birds...essentially, loud-talking cavern-mouth.
