Tried that waiting trick at Minsmere last year hoping for the Bittern to re-emerge but it didn't. Well done.

I tried the waiting trick with a wren on my walk today. But at -5C, with the wren nestled deep between boulders and me standing still in the cold with no down on, the wren was more patient than I was ;)
