En route
I walked up to the cemetery that day hoping to see warblers and siskins foraging in the birches. Some years we get masses of them there around early September. But this year ... none. Still, was worth checking the pines along the top ridge of the park, and there I found a family of Spotted Flycatchers taking a food break on their way southwards. Mostly they were too busy hunting to stop for a photo, but now and then they did have to catch their breath and scout around for the next fly.
