Wetlands going everywhere around the world-so sad and these Sarus Cranes will have to move somewhere else,Alok and Renu.Your photo will have some historical value in the future!

a wonderful place alok, you cann't stop progress and when it's too late they will realise what they have done.
a crying shame....

You have highlighted a real issue for deep reflection, Alok. Hopefully mankind will be jolted into taking stock before it is too late.

Terrible!! The loss of these wetlands, not only so sad for the wild life affected, but is the cause of so much flooding too.

I don't know what else to say Alok.

I suppose when we've all gone, nature will reclaim it!!

Not happy about this.

Everyday on my way to and from work I see so many flatbed trucks filled with chopped down trees. Only so they may build more structures. So very sad.

a great photo, Alok!! the perfect illustration of how fragile nature gets. it's almost sad to see these magnificent birds against this industrial scenery. many tfs!!! best wishes, JJ

A wonderful juxtaposition of nature and man, illustrating Environment Day perfectly, Alok.
