equality for all ducks! - (white) black scoter (Melanitta americana)

I met up with some local Japanese birders, friends of friends, who agreed to go out birding with me. hey took me down to see a Surf Scoter, very rare bird in japan, of which I got even worse shots and this rather special scoter. A leucistic 'Black' Scoter..helping to break down the racial barriers in remote Hokkaido!
