I suddenly became aware that, unusally, there were two Great Spotted Woodpeckers around. Eventually I discovered that an adult male had brought a juvenile with him to show him where he could get some food.

Great shot of the male Great Spotted Woodpecker with his offspring, Delia! Young woodpeckers can be a bit bonkers but this one's sensibly sticking close to dad.
