European Roller - Immature

Juvie and the Spider ...

... not a fable

A funny thing happened
as we were taking
images of this wonderful
lifer juvie ...

A tiny spider ... that must
have been drifting through
the air ... hanging by their
marvelous thread ...
landed bang
on his upper-mandible ...

... probably the safest
place for it to avoid
being eaten alive ...

... the bird in Opus article
is seen
holding a spider in
its bill ...

Initial few shots that I
took, do not show the
presence of the spider ...
As one watches the
video-clip ... one can
see through their emotions ...
... faced with such an
unexpected turn of
events for both ... they
engage in a staring duel
... with spider drifting to
the central blind-zone of
the two eyefields for safety
... making ever so
minuscule adjustments ...

Watch all this up-close
in the video-clip ...
