Everybody needs good neigh......bours! (Athene noctua)

A pair of Little Owl have taken up residence on my local patch. I've always thought this fence line looked ideal for them to hunt from and sure enough today there were two of them sat on the fence posts. They probably do make good neighbours with the horses keeping the grass short making mice and voles easier to see and their manure attracting bettles and the such like. I think this one should perhaps have been watching it's back rather than looking at me ;)
