Extracting a large feather... (Falco peregrinus)

The peregrine screaming atop the church and ripping a pigeon to pieces was something worth watching, even as the constant threat of my camera losing charge loomed over me.
The mother peregrine was the only one I saw this morning, the chicks were quiet, and their father was nowhere to be seen.
