Failed again!

Took this shot of a female Little Ringed Plover earlier in the season.The male turned up a few weeks later and they bred successfully.Sadly the eggs were predated a little while after laying.Last year the poor weather killed the chicks.Makes you think what these birds are up against every year.

Good image Mike, what makes you think the bad weather killed the chicks last year, not predation?
