Fall-Winter - 15
It was past five ...
and sun had set early
on that December day
... due to clouds
covering the horizon ...
Twilight ... had fast
turned into near
darkness ... and we were
trying to pick up
last scraps ...
on a long birding day
that had started
pre-dawn ... and encounter
with Variable Wheatear
... and ended with
two Wheatears species
... one I posted
yesterday ... and the
last of the three
... this one
Wheatear is supposed
to be the corruption
of white a*se ... and
Isabeline alludes to the
color of the
un-changed undergarments
of Isabella 1 of Castile
...
... who had wowed to
change them only after
Spain was freed from Moors
... LOL ...
... some scientists do
have great
sense of humor ...
... and I do not
wish to stretch my
imagination any further ...
Watch Isabella in
a video clip ...
