parts of Pakistan
... but is now extinct
from these countries ...

It is a bird of arid
tracts ...with scrub ...

... and the most
important reason for
its decline ...

... that is ongoing

has been
habitat loss ...
... large tracts
of its habitat land
is being taken
up by expanding
agriculture ... primarily
due to increased
irrigation facilities ...

It is indeed rare to
see one in our area ...

wonderful find of this rarity, Alok!!! superb photo with warm colours, many tfs!!!
so sad that so many bird species are little by little disappearing.
