Feeding frenzy
We'd now made our way across to the metaled road on the other side of the mountains.

Sadly there were a number of road kills on the road, all attracting scavengers. This group consisted mostly of Australian Ravens and a single Wedge-tailed Eagle.

Picture quality isn't great, as I took it through the windscreen.

Sad, but all part of the cleaning up process. A brilliant through the window group capture Delia, well done.

Would be interesting to know how many animals we kill with our cars,Delia.I bet it's not a nice figure.

impressive scene, Delia, superb with the eagle among the ravens, top notch, many tfs!!!
During my first visit to Australia, I didn't manage to see a single kangaroo, only roadkills ....

That's a sharp image considering how far away you are. Thank God for the clean-up crew. Many people complain about birds like these but they are important for our ecosystem.

Strange and sad story of wildlife animals .... and happy birds !
