Female Blackbird (Turdus merula)

Adult female Blackbirds are quite rare visitors to my garden and I hardly ever manage to get a picture of them when they do drop in.

It was raining that morning (as you can see from the raindrops on her back)... it turned to snow a couple of hours later!

Glad that the bird showed up for you to catch a photo of her. I'm glad it has stopped snowing here, now in the month of April we are getting lots of rain. The Blue Jay had so many peanuts in his beak that one flew out. Take care Delia

she is so lovely wish she gave you her face, but they are always in a hurry to leave just as we try to take a shot.
