female Bullfinch. (pyrhula pyrhula)

As you can see this is a female of the species. The brilliant males were around but very difficult to get close to. This female appeared only 15 feet away from camera and this was probably the best of 6 shots. It is a crop fromt he original photo. All comments gratefully appreciated.

A beautiful shot. I like the subdued colours and the catchlight in the eye, not always easy when the eye is surrounded by dark plumage. Shows the bird well in typical pose. Well captured.
