Female Chaffinch
This was taken between snow showers and I braved the cold to lean out of the window to get this picture.

And this image does seem to show how steep that slope is (it's only about 3 feet from top to bottom, but is almost vertical!) A few minutes after this, I could hardly see a thing through the blizzard!

Poor chaffinch , having to face these horrid conditions. A nice capture, Delia . I hope you didn' t catch a cold ,leaning out of your window like that.
