Female Peregrine in flight for a fight ! (Falco peregrinus)

This picture is one of my best for 2008. It shows the angry female peregrine falcon during the rescue of one of her juveniles. The young bird crash landed in a nearby tree. Before long she was hanging upside down, then fell to the ground allowing the rescue team to return her back to the top of the tower (Derby Cathedral, UK). Fortunately I had my camera with me that day.
