Female South African Shelduck or Cape Shelduck (Tadorna cana)

Can anyone tell me what type of duck this is please. I have looked through my books through various catagories and on the internet but can't find out what it is. I'm wondering if it is a hybrid?

I've now found out the identification thank you sjeyring. South African birds now in South Cheshire, UK.

This is a South African or Cape Shelduck Female, the male has a completely gray head.

Wow! a South African Shelduck in South Cheshire. Thanks so much everyone for you kind comments and to you sjeyring for identifying it for me. No wonder I couldn't find it under UK bird varieties. Global warming is definately altering the wildlife we see.
