Female Violet-eared Waxbill (Granatina granatina)

Aka Common Grenadier.

This cutie responded immediately to spishing - followed by a nervous male that kept in the cover. I later saw that they had a whole brood of juvies with them.

She's not as smart as the male - probably why she is outnumbered by males in the gallery ;)
