Feral Pigeon
Pigeons get bad press... known as 'Rats With Wings' and are often seen to be vermin and 'disease carriers' - you have to admire these plucky wee fellers... out in all weathers, always seem to be 'shrug shouldered' to me and are the bird equivalent of crumpled detective Columbo.

Determined, hardy, and persistent in their endeavours to get food and they'll eat anything within reason.

A while back at Preston railway station I saw a sign saying "Do Not Feed The Pigeons" - always the rebel, I thought "s*d that" and did the opposite - besides, the railway caf sold their cr*p for ridiculous prices, so what one does with the food bought there is one's own business!

Anyhow, in celebration of these birds - I present to you this photo.

Enjoy.

Cheers Targetman - appreciated. :t:

I decided to take a few 'Pigeon' shots as I said, these animals are often seen to be 'pests' - strange eh, I go to Martin Mere where there are loads of birds of different sizes and colours, yet I go with pigeon shots - and I'm glad I did.

Just read your intro ,and well done the same approach that i take when it comes to feeding birds.

Feral Pigeons are so fascinating birds. How they fly... I can't understand, why so many people don't like them...
