Lovely image of the Fieldfare, Paul, in a very frosty habitat! They are very understated in their plumage until you see them closely but are delightful winter Thrushes.

I'm not sure you've noticed the time the picture was taken, Deb, but that's lunchtime. What a beautiful day, though! I've never really seen many fieldfares or at least noticed, but where I was today, which is about 2 miles from where I live; the fields were flooded with both fieldfares and redwings. And, aye, I'm in full agreement: such beautiful colours.
