my rooks are getting quite used to me peering out the window at them now before they were off at the least movement and i rather enjoy watching these great corvids.tttw.

A brilliant shot, Mags !!! Lots of Rooks in a nearby farmer's field but none visiting my garden, so far !!! Thanks for sharing.

Aha! I wondered about that scruffy bit at the base of their bills. Now I see it's a pouch, sort of a smaller version of pelicans' pouches. Cool!
