First Cuckoo of spring (Cuculus canorus)

out in Thursley, Surrey today with curlew, crossbill, redstart, treecreeper...fantastic and to cap it a good view of this guy calling; our first of the year.

A super picture you've taken of this Cuckoo. it's great to know they're on their way back for the summer.

I heard some in Norfolk last summer, but it's a while since I heard any round here.
