First Robin of the season, 2 of 2 (Turdus migratorius)

With his gape open like this, it REALLY makes me think this is a first-year bird. One of these days (soon, I hope) I will be thrilled to see an Eastern Bluebird perching on this wire!

Isn't it always a thrill when the birds start returning for the summer.

Well Adele, never in the 12 years I have been where I am have I had Bluebirds before April and i've now got 4 pair feasting everyday since the beginning of January.

I love your Robin and hopefully it is sending us a message that spring is nearby. I say this during a ice storm today ;)
