Fischer's Starling
This East African endemic is common across much of the dry and arid areas of Kenya, Somalia and Ethiopia.

Before I joined bird forum I had no idea there were so many different types of starlings. Always interesting to see a new one. Fabulous double capture, many tfs!

They're a gorgeous bunch aren't they! Which one's your favorite? My personal fav is the Superb Starling (rightfully named too!)

The Superb Starling certainly is just that. Never thought about a favorite. The Common Starling is an invasive species here in North America, and it galls me to see dozens of them greedily laying waste to my feeders. So I have mixed feelings about any Starling.
