Flashing his Colors (Agelaius phoeniceus)

This Male Red-winged Blackbird was flying around trying to engage a female, one of the ways of doing this is to flash his red and yellow wing colors in flight and while perched.
Not a great day for pictures, the wind was gusting into the 30 mph range. I only managed this and about two other decent shots.
Habitat
Nests in virtually every wet, brushy or marshy area within the United States.

Yet another splendid capture Lisa - excellent work! :clap: A really beautiful setting too, the contrasting colours of the green rushes, the perch and the bird are lovely. :t:
