Flying Black-winged Stilts

Flying Black-winged Stilts (Himantopus himantopus)

This group of BWSs suddenly took off from the drain water pool. Shot late evening in almost cloudy weather conditions.

I have uploaded a video of a flock of 23 BSWs doing circuits of the pool when a herd of cattle appeared in the vicinity. Video was shot with Fujifilm HS 50 EXR Camera, again late evening in cloudy weather on another day. Hope you enjoy the video of my favorite waders.

What a wonderful sight that must have been SK - one of my favourite larger waders too.

A super video and a great picture - many thanks my friend.

BTW I've amended your video link above, so it goes directly to your video, rather than the BFTV Home Page. Not sure how you do it, think you need to get the link directly from the page where your video is playing. Maybe Alok can explain it better than me LOL.

BTW, Feel free to sit on my back deck to see some Woodpeckers ;)

Those are beautiful waders whether they stand in water or fly. This is a super flight capture of this group of stilts.
