FOND MEMORIES (carduelis cabaret)

Had such a great time photographing these guys,especially as they were the first lesser redpolls i have seen close up.This was the brighter of the two males.Sadly like the siskins they have all departed now,but hopefuly they'll be back next winter.

Super image and yes they are gorgeous little birds and I shall miss them too. I think they are possibly one of the most photogenic of the passerines - whatever - this is another excellent photograph! (Did have a siskin in the garden this morning!)
 
You did them proud while you had them Nigel!! and certain they will come back!! got the same feeling about the Bramblings mate :t::t::t:
 
Elegant composition and fine detail ... after a shot like this one, I would gladly wait until next season ;)
