For a change
I've realized all my last birds uploaded were looking to the left!!! :eek!: So here you have one looking to the right! :-O

Just an excuse to upload this other newbie to my gallery! o:D

Another job in the shade, my fate lately... |^|
Habitat
Orchard
Location
Villaviciosa, Asturias, N Spain
Date taken
19 September 2010
Scientific name
Philloscopus trochilus
Equipment used
Canon 50D + Sigma 50-500mm (handheld leaning on a low wall, ISO1000, f/5.6, 1/160s, +1/3ev)
Very fine close up with good details and sharp image. Even if taken in the shadow colors are looking natural.

Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

Nearly missed this one, my friend Marian. A beauty, looking to starboard (that is to the right, for the non-sailors). :king:

Absolutely perfectamente! It really can't get much better than this! :t:

I can't believe you are not a professional photographer, your pictures are inspiring to me and I admire your tenacity to get the pictures you want!

I also think you are very humourous & enjoy reading your posts in your thread! I especially enjoy them because my father was from Spain, Cespedosa de Tormes, not too far from Madrid. Unfortunately I have never had the opportunity to get over there, but through my father's stories of his youth, I have always felt a strong connection to my "roots", so through your lens I can see birds my father grew up with! ;) Muchas Gracias por eso opportunidad!

Mucho Salud y Buena Suerte Chica!(sorry, but shamefully, my Spanish is a bit limited, much to my regret:-C!)
Hope you have a wonderfully birdie day! o:)

A superb right posing WW Marian. Fabulous detail from beak to tail or tail to beak, depending on which way you are reading this picture.
I was advised that ideally birds should look to the right of the frame. This is because, in Europe especially, we read from left to right and because of this an image seems more correct in our brain if it is facing from left to right.
You can flip an image in Photoshop if you wish. Personally, if any of my birds face right to left, that is the way they stay.
Why not flip the image Marian, see what we think?
