For comparison (Parus major)

So here's "my" Mr. Flathead, in my own garden the next day. Not taken at the same angle, so it's hard to make a direct comparison, but I do think the right edge of the "tie" on this one is straighter (no noticeable swirly bits) and this ones brow seems a bit bulkier. But perhaps they're related, unless flat heads are a fairly common feature on Great Tits ...?

A very interesting observation, Ann. They both do look like they have 'flat' heads'. Could it be a periodic feature of this species?

.... I dunno... I don't see enough of them to be able to compare them Ann.

But that's another super picture of a GT - excellent work lass.
