For Delia (Branta bernicla)

Finally! My first AND second flocks of Brant Geese - first a flock this morning on Tomales Bay, distant, but I took loads of shots anyway; then a flock much closer on Bodega Bay this afternoon. Could of course be the same flock, as the two bays meet where they enter the ocean. Anyway: I can see why they're Delia's favorite geese. Such beautiful patterns they have |=)|

And these are two of the 'Black Brant's' ssp nigricans that we search the flocks here for.
Pale/white flanks and a broad white neck ring.
