Sorry for the delay on my answer as I have been wonderfully occupied with the only passion greater than birding. That would be hosting all 5 children and all 5 grandchildren for the USA Thanksgiving holidays. If I am looking in correct place, the opus has two breeding adults on nest.My image is a first year breeder with smaller patch in much brighter light. This post of mature breeding adult(not as close) with full plumage. Yes, that shoulder patch and bigger matching patches on belly under wings is hall mark of breeding bird. Those quills(I call them) on neck and back are also more pronounced. The plumage can remain for entire season. The clearest indication nesting is in progress is those blue lores. For some reason I couldn't send private message.
