Back at Loch of the Lowes. I was watching a Great Spotted Woodpecker at the nut feeder, when he flew across to a dead tree, which he appeared to attack! Then back to the nuts again.

He repeated this once or twice, when I suddenly realised he was storing the nuts in holes in the tree!!!

I wonder if he'll remember where he put them? LOL

So sorry, you're not getting a full view of him (yes, it was a male), but that was all I could see and I was wanting to record the behaviour.
