FOX SPARROW
Not what I'd call a rare visitor to my yard, but a very infrequent one. I only see them a few times a year in small numbers. Some years I don't see any.

That's a spectacular sparrow! I never thought about how it got its name, but that's clear now. A fine shot Bill.

I like the way these guys jump backwards on the ground scraping their feet through the grass to find sunflower seeds under the feeder. TFS! Glad you were able to see one this year.
