Friendliest dotterel
This was a particularly friendly dotterel. We spotted it (i.e. it spotted us first, I guess) from 100 metres, and it slowly made its way to us, spending in all some 40 minutes in our company (until we left). It sat on my young son's leg, pecked at his mountain boots... Extraordinary experience.
Needless to say, we took tens of pictures, especially because it was a first for us.
I believe it is a male bird. Any comments on this?
