We haven't had continuous snow this winter, so every now and then the ducks had plenty of frozen grass to eat.

such beautiful ducks, Ann, and a great closeup, many tfs!!!
Used to see these beauties in good numbers in my younger days in Belgium, but here they are rare, and in mild winters as this year you don't see any.

.... suppose it snapped off easily enough then LOL. Grass is right crunchy underfoot in the frost, isn't it.
