Fuchsias, Butterfly and Roses

This post is dedicated to Macswede/Graham with many thanks. He most graciously alowed me to use his lovely photograph of this Peacock butterfly (posted in December of last year) as reference for this painting. This painting is in acrylics on wood and is part of a set of eight hand made charger plates.

Here is a photo of my table set with a few of the plates for a dinner party I had last month..

I've been asked from time to time to post some of my work and I thought this might be a good time to do so. Along with watercolors and regular canvas type painting my main work is in the decorative arts field where we paint on many different surfaces like this woodenware plate.

Hope you enjoy and thanks again go to Graham!

Thank you very much for the dedication, Deanne! You have produced something really beautiful and I'm very glad if I've contributed with a little inspiration.

Not only can you produce stunning photo's, but then you go and do this...amazing painting with stunning detail and colours.
The dinning table in the image must have been a real talking point with your guests as it looks superb. You have a special talent Deanne.

Absolutely amazing work Deanne. It looks really stunning. You are an extremely talented lady. I hope your dinner guests aren't messy eaters!

FABULOUS! Very well done Deanne. My wife Chris doesn't comment much on bird photos, although she is a birder like me, but she did when I showed her this! WOW! is what she said!

How talented you are Deanne. This is outstanding artistic work, of the highest standard. My wife, Nikki, never cares to look on BF but I have just asked her to come and look at this post. She is still stood behind me in awe. Thanks for posting.

Oh my.. You dont expect that someone could stain that plate with food, do you.. Is this only unique one? Or do you make them more than one? Have to check your site! I overlove this, Deanne!

Exquisite work Deanne. It puts the rest of us to shame. Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful talent with us here on birdforum.:eek!:

Very best wishes.

WOW Deanne g/f it is a shame that i only get to comment on this at the third page, work was awful last week (our working week ends today), and what a beauty i missed, i am stunned by the so accurate shades of blue you manage to put on those dots of the wings, making them look so much like the eyes on a real butterfly wings.

love the table arrangement like crazy if i ever was able to do something like this i would make my guest eat standing and on paper plats, hehehe.

thanks a million for sharing this beautiful work of art i do agree with Julie you must post more of your work, i have seen it all before, as i am a regular visitor to your website, so keep them coming g/f.
