Wonderful birds. Very funny to watch. Excellent picture quality with fine detail of this Galah.
My first time in Cairns was in the early 90ยดs (after 1992, no exact date anymore). At that time did they sell "really" cheap last minute seats @ the new MUC apt.. I paid less than 300 German Marks for a ticket to DU. A bus dropped me at the city limit of Cairns and I was shocked how "rural" this city appeared. ๐Ÿคฃ Later did I travel in Australia by trains (the famous ones), by bus and car. One of the reasons why I went to uni there. I stayed in Cairns but mainly in a unit in Holloways Beach. At that time did I visit Cairns 2 to 3 times a week. I regularly visited the Tobruk pools or went to the malls and food courts. Altogether way more than a year, as tourist and as resident. Bathing at the Esplanade lagoon is a very pleasant amenity. A BBQ @ the Esplanade is not bad either. Waders are often distant at low tide but there were plenty at that time. Families have, same here, due to school holidays, no options to avoid peak season.
Thank you for reading. ๐Ÿคช๐Ÿ‘
South Australia is great too. I spent time in Adelaide and visited Seal Island.
