Galah on the alert

Galah on the alert (Cacatua roseicapilla)

Male galah, sounding the alert as a Wedgetail Eagle is seen high up in the sky. (I got a photo of the eagle but not a great one.) I was amazed to see that while the first response from every bird of all varieties around here was alarm, followed by dead silence, as the eagle remained in the area, two galahs eventually took off after it and harrassed it from their area -- then they did a crazy victory lap, zooming around the area in high speed circles. Brave guys to take on the second biggest eagle in the world!
