Alouette, je te plumerai.*

Every time I see a Skylark this French children's song comes to my mind but I can bet this is not what this Skylark is singing, I doubt it would like to have its feathers plucked out, as the song says! :-O

Perhaps it's trying to learn the lyrics of La Marseillaise in time for next July 14's celebration. ;) Good catch on this prolific singer, Marian.

Just translated it in google, seems a bit harsh. Excellent catch with great details Marian!! Well taken!

Hello Marian,
beautiful picture.great composition with amazing details and sharpness.
Best regards Siggi

Mega supercracking smashing shot (and lots more), Marian.
I just had the chance of seeing 2 of this visiting Hong Kong in October, and they were surrounded by no less than 10 big guns, (a more important visitor than any Country leader, I suppose.)
Oh, sorry to mention that not all were big guns only, but some are actually Canons!

Another great capture, Marian, beautiful colour, clarity & composition. Used to sing the same song in Western Canada in my youth. When I flew with Bomber Command in WWll, I had no trouble with talking French. All I knew was "La Fille eh Belle."

Excellent image here Marian with the lark in song...an evocative bird and every country lover's friend.
