Gimme Shelter
So, the photo of the six legged Ringed Plover which I posted yesterday turned out to be a mother bird with two chicks under her wings and not some freak of nature. Who'd have thought it! The chicks had been running round but were seeking shelter from the strong, blustery winds, under the protection of their mother's wings. I will post some closer shots of the chicks later. Ron
