Gnatcatcher in July? (Polioptila caerulea)

In the 9 years I've been keeping a log, I have never had a Gnatcatcher here in the dead of summer. Usually a spring and fall bird for me. They do breed in my part of the world but I've never seen them during the summer.
Location
Myrtle Beach, SC
Date taken
July, 2015
Scientific name
Polioptila caerulea
Equipment used
Nikon D90, SIGMA 80-400/4.5-5.6 DG OS NIKON AF
A wonderful visitor to have this time of year, KC, and with this beautiful capture it will always be remembered.

It's when I would expect to see one in California - when there are loads of gnats about. But perhaps where you are they're up in the woods or something like that in mid-summer? If so, then maybe this is a sign of large numbers/expanding territories ???
Nice photo, however its presence came about |=)|
