Gob stopper (Jay) (Garrulus glandarius)

Most mornings I do a hill walk with my two labradors. It has become increasingly difficult to carry my normal Canon 7d and lens. Reluctantly I took a bridge camera and was reasonably pleased with the result.
My labradors sit quietly when I am doing a bit of bird watching!!!
Date taken
November 2018
Scientific name
Garrulus glandarius
Equipment used
Panasonic FZ1000
Great timing in this stunning close-up of a jay, Kim. Great caption too. Superb quality in this bridge camera shot.
A very well timed and detailed behavioural shot, Kim.

LOL Kim.... there doesn't seem to be much wrong with bridge cameras. I'm like you and would really struggle with an SLR on a walk!

That's a great picture Kim and so well timed too, getting his 'gobstopper' (do you remember them LOL)

Very well done my friend.
