We consider ourselves lucky if we can spot and shoot one golden oriole.... occasionally we do spot a pair, but rarely do we get the opportunity to shoot both in a single frame.... On this particular day as we were winding up and returning back to our vehicle, we spotted a young pair of golden orioles, followed soon by the entire family consisting of a Mom, Dad and their three juveniles....!! The light was failing fast but we kept shooting away...my friend finally did succeed in persuading me to return to our vehicle after what seemed to be an eternity!!! I do remember Mali commenting on several of my golden oriole posts....that he did grow up in a locality frequented by these beauties, but rarely had the chance to shoot them... I therefore dedicate this special shot to my birding friend Mali Halls!!!!
