Golden-ringed dragonfly, Rheidol preserve (Cordulegaster boltonii)

There's a little nature preserve along the Rheidol river in Aberystwyth. Signage indicates that there are kingfishers there, but I've never seen them. Last visit, I pretty much only saw insects. But I'm not complaining. This Golden-ringed Dragonfly

only ever saw one of these ann and not a great capture like yours.tfs.all the best margaret.ps your story on my heron.skiing eek i have two left feet tried ice skating when the boys were growing up was on my bum more than my feet so my hats off to you.
